Jeran Now...

Every family needs a great actor. When Jeran was 3 years old our pediatrician told us he would be the next Jim Carrey.

Jeran LOVES his books. We actually have to tell him to stop reading.

Jeran is the lone BYU fan in the family.

Happy Birthday kiddo! We sure love you!

Jeran Then...

On July 23rd, 1998, I was told to go on bedrest to prevent Jeran from being born early. That same evening, with Ruth freaking out by my side, it became very apparent that bedrest wasn't going stop Jeran from being born. With the help of some great doctors and the right medications, Jeran waited 2 more days to be born and entered this world on July 25th, 1998. A week later he was allowed to come home with us and a month after that Megan joined our family. This picture was taken the day after Megan arrived. Jeran slept through the first 2 months of life. He was just trying to catch up!

July 4th

On Saturday we had a laid back family celebration at Grandpa and Grandma Campbell's house. Grandpa involved the kids in posting the flag and leading us in the Pledge of Allegience in the morning. That afternoon we had a barbeque which was timed perfectly right before a huge thunderstorm. During the storm we moved inside and did our nails... Yeah, not so patriotic, but we sure looked good!

Champ takes a break from being the favorite toy of the day. Champ played nicely (mostly) and let all the girls walk him and play with him. One of the grand kids asked me at one point if they could paint his toenails. I couldn't see him being super cooperative with that venture, so I had to say no. We snapped this picture when he was getting a well deserved rest!

July 3rd

For the 4th of July weekend we ventured north to Juniper. Friday evening we went to the 4th of July community celebration in Malta with my mom, Melissa and her kids and Chris and her kids. It turned out to be a girls' and kids' night out because all the dads were working or just finishing work. It poured down rain on us for most of the evening but cleared up for fireworks. No one seemed to mind and we had a lot of fun.

Ben and Melissa's son, Dylan is the absolute cutest kid you'll ever meet...TONS of personality in that kid!

Melissa, Ross, and Olivia. Ross wasn't sure about the sound of the fireworks...he kept hiding behind his mom!
