Jeran's Reflections Entry

Changing of Seasons

The world is still and the air is crisp,
Save it be a few leaves gently gliding from their home high in the treetops.

The few birds remaining chirp restlessly
Waiting for their turn to fly south for the winter.

A slow, fragile wind starts,
Carefully sweeping the bright, fragrant leaves up into the cloudless sky.

The snow-capped mountains glisten in the blazing sun.
Gradually, the temperature grows colder, and the light of day becomes shorter.

Summer has ended, and winter begins.
